New season starting soon, features update, rules discussion

The next DTB season starts Sep 3, 2012. Get ready for your draft and get notified via twitter.
The current season of DropTheBelt fantasy wrestling is quickly drawing to a close. The grand finale will be this Sunday night at Summer Slam.
If you have joined one of our new match-made leagues, that will be the end of that league's play. Don't worry though, you can join another match-made league right now and get ready for next season.
If you've created your own league, it will stick around for next season. It's up to you if you want to keep your existing teams or draft again, but either way, your points will be reset to 0. You'll still be able to see your points from last season in the league home page. If you want to set up a new draft, just click the "create a draft" link (you'll need to be the league commissioner to do this) and schedule a date. This will clear your existing rosters though, so don't do this until after Sunday!
The next season runs September 3 through October 28 (aka Hell in a Cell) November 18 (aka Survivor Series). It's a short season, meant to fill the gap before our next major season which will run November 19 through April 7, 2013 (Wrestlemania XXIX). Basically, you have from Aug 20 to Sep 3 to set up a draft or join a new match-made league if you want to get in before the season starts.
Between now and then, the DTB staff will be reviewing stats from this season and determining what rules should change either in when/how they apply or how many points they are worth. We're even considering adding the Superstars show to the scoring. If you have any suggestions for rule/point changes, leave a comment below and we'll consider it.
There are exciting new features on DropTheBelt.com too! If you missed it, we now have matchmaking for leagues so you can join a league by yourself with 5 other people from the internet. Challenge the world! We also can now notify you via twitter (in addition to email) when your draft is scheduled.
To enable this feature, click on your name at the top of the screen to visit your profile. Then click the "edit your profile" link just under the red line. Input your twitter screen name (leave off the @) and check yes to the "Tweet me league updates (draft dates and trades)?" question. Click save and you're ready to go. When you next draft is scheduled (or the date changes) you'll get a tweet with the new date and time. Don't forget to sort your preferred draft picks so the auto-draft will pick the right wrestlers for you if you can't make the draft!
Also, don't forget to follow @dropthebelt on twitter, as more general notifications will be sent as they occur. We will be tweeting when the free agent window is opened or closed and when seasons start or end, in addition to any news that may happen and some status updates during live scoring.

The upcoming season has been changed to end on November 18, 2012 (Surivor Series) and has been renamed the "Survivor Series 2012" season.
