RAW Rant:
I'll be 100% honest, I didn't even watch this week's Raw. I decided to read the recaps and then decide if it sounded like it was worth watching. Come on, after reading how it all went, you can't really blame me. Didn't sound like I missed much of anything except Road Dogg almost killed Cody? Titus vs Zack Ryder? That has to be a mistake. There's no way that was actually on Raw right guys?
Smackdown Preview:
Oof, this show looks really bad this week. Not that that should come as a surprise as there hasn't been a decent Smackdown since roughly 2010, but okay let's see what we can do predictions wise. (as always this preview is from www.prowrestling.net and the predictions are my own as I have no idea who wins)
1. Dolph Ziggler and Kofi Kingston vs Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns: So clearly the WWE is going full throttle with the Shield meltdown, which seems almost apparent for the split to become official at the Chamber PPV agains the Wyatts. I'd imagine the Shield will still continue to steamroll randomly thrown together teams like Dofi Zingston (if they call themselves this I'm buying a t-shirt) while showing SIGNS of dissent, and then it'll finally happen at a later date.
2. Sheamus vs Ryback: LOCK OF THE WEEK. You know who.
3. Daniel Bryan vs Antonio Cesaro: Well I mean they're both in the Chamber, so it could go either way right? Right. Bryan takes it
4. AJ Lee vs Nikki Bella: Seems like they're moving ahead with Naomi as the next in line for the Divas title shot, so I expect AJ to win this
5. Bray Wyatt vs Goldust: No real reason to give Wyatt the loss, nor Goldust the win. Wyatt should take this.
6. Randy Orton vs Christian in a non-title match: Match 2 in the Orton vs rest of the Chamber guys. He took the loss against Bryan, which makes me wonder if they'll have him lose several, if not all of these matches leading to the Chamber. That'd be pretty ridiculous, but I do think it's possible. I'll go against that theory and say Orton wins a close match here, only to go on to lose to Cena Monday.
Yup, that's it.
Rising
1. Mark Henry: Lots to choose from this week, but with Henry being announced for a return Monday, he seems the most GUARANTEED to earn points and quickly. Curious to see who they move him onto for now though as most of the top heels are locked up in current storylines already. Hopefully they'll consider making him a heel again.
2. Alexander Rusev: After a not so impressive debut at the Rumble, he got a backstage vignette on Raw so it seems as though he's ready for his in-ring singles debut soon. Actually he would possibly provide a good foil for Henry. We'll see what happens.
3. Emma: The WWE seems pretty insistent on continuing the Emma stuff for now, and it seems a given she'll get a match or two against Summer Rae. Some real dark horse potential here, though limited overall due to the fact she probably wont be in the Divas title mix anytime soon
4. Titus: I mean he should get a win over Darren Young eventually, and looks like he's developing something against the Miz as well. Another dark horse as the WWE could see potential in him being a monster heel eventually.
Also: RVD was asked if he'd be back by Mania, and he said "I hope so" Seems pretty plausible that he could be back soon, but never trust a pothead guys.
Falling
1. Sin Cara: ¿Donde Esta?
2. John Cena: Obviously still worth keeping, but wow what an awful season he's having considering how highly he was drafted in probably every league. Plus with so much focus on the Shield, Bryan, Orton, etc, I'm not sure how quickly it'll turn around for him. Given his history, probably next week
