Choke's RAW 10/8/12 Fantasy Report: McMahon and CM Punk go HAM

Who's rising, who's falling after last night's RAW?

Wow.  77 points for McMahon on his first TV appearance in a very long time and without any official win in a match!   The sad part?  Only owned in 4.8% of all Drop the Belt leagues (and I'd be willing to bet most of those are holdovers from previous seasons).   The first potential league game changer that was most likely not taken.   I have failed you dear readers.   To be fair this was nearly impossible to call.  McMahon had been announced over the weekend I believe as returning to RAW for Monday, but if you expected that kind of point explosion you are much wiser than I am.  Also I don't recommend picking up McMahon from here on out.   I don't see a repeat performance coming any time soon.

In the end I found it to be a very entertaining RAW with some nice story development on the Punk/Cena/Ryback storyline (guessing they're throwing Ryback in for an audible in case Cena can't go in time).   The Vinnie Mac/Punk showdown was 100 times more entertaining than I would have ever imagined as well.

On to the list:

Rising:
1.  Kofi Kingston:  Seems like the Kofi/Truth break has happened, with Kofi not surprisingly getting the better deal of the two.  Thrust right into the IC Belt picture against the Miz vs Truth dancing with Brodus Clay for the time being.
2.  Slater/Mahal/McIntyre:  Well it's something at least.   You've got to figure that for the time being they'll be picking up some interference/attack points, and I'd assume at some point they'll transition to some singles or tag matches for the three.   As soon as they drop off TV for a week or two, abandon ship
3.  Tensai:  As soon as I officially gave up on him, they've had him pick up some occasional points week in week out.  Whether by DQ or interference or Attack, it's better than nothing.   I don't see it lasting for too long, but for right now he seems somewhat in the mix though it will all probably just result in him still not getting any clean wins over top talent.  The hope for anyone with Tensai is that he gets an occasional match against midcarders like Zack Ryder where he has a chance to win

Falling:
1.  R truth:  Will be interesting to see where they go with this, but as of right now Truth and Clay have only danced together and Truth in particular has no feuds going on.  I do think there's SOME hope for him and the storyline they can develop, but for now, I'm not a hopeful Truth fantasy league owner (I'm a sad one)
2.  Ziggler:  Obviously still worth holding, but damn, is the WWE determined to have him lose every single match he competes in until he cashes MITB in?  Seems like it.   Anyone who has him must be dying for him to cash it in sooner rather than later.
3.  Zack Ryder:  I do think he'll pick up an awful win or two in the near future with Santino (maybe over Mahal/Drew), but so far his output this season has been less than inspiring.  I thought the WWE was ready to move forward on a big push for him, one of my few preseason mistakes.
