Apparently I'm the only one who enjoyed Hell in a Cell. It might have helped that I'd had some drinks, and watched the first half late Sunday night and the 2nd half Monday morning. Reviews I've read haven't been positive but as a whole I enjoyed it. I like that Dust 2 Dust finally got a "clean" pinfall over the Usos. I thought Orton and Cena put on a much better match than I anticipated. I thought Cesaro vs Ziggler was great and had a bit of an element of surprise with Ziggler going over 2-0. Finally I thought the Ambrose/Seth Rollins match was extremely well done, and I was very happy to see Wyatt involved in the end even though it seems like most weren't. I just feel with all the injuries and with Lesnar MIA until probably Royal Rumble at this point, the WWE needs all the top tier talent they can get on the show, and Wyatt was a great option to move Ambrose onto IMO.
As for Raw, it had its ups and downs. Finding out that the WWE title will go yet another month (and probably 2) without being defended was probably the low point. UGH) The Henry turn was predictable, and I didn't think the way they did it had a lot of impact. The Divas division is still in shambles from a creative standpoint, and it's not too clear exactly what they'll do with AJ and the title moving forward. Ryback's return will be interesting to watch. Will they play him up as the babyface as they did last night in his squash against Bo? Or will he fade away onto Main Event? I'm really enjoying Seth Rollins' work more and more as of late. I'm disappointed that without Lesnar he'll be wasted on the Survivor Series match, but I do see some potential in how the WWE might play out this "who will be on which team" angle. Anyone else get the feeling that Orton will be the "surprise" entrant on Cenas team? Will Reigns be ready by the end of the month to be on Cena's (or the Authority's?!) team? Lastly, can Cena successfully avoid eye contact with Jack Swagger until Survivor Series is over?
Check back tomorrow for my Smackdown preview.
