Thoughts on the impact Monday and Friday's shows have on FUW leagues
Been a while since I was on vacation, but I'm all caught up now and here are my thoughts on the last 3 televised shows as well as Hell in the Cell.
Hell in the Cell wasn't very good. Glad they finally gave the belt to Phoenix, and it was the right move to give Del Rio and Henry their wins respectively, but it just didn't feel special the whole night. I liked the Miz and R-Truth run in and arrest at the end, but it wasnt worth the price of admission.
Raw the next night was interesting I guess with some unexpected matchups, but the Kelly Kelly violence act has got to go and them making her seemingly more bad ass than Phoenix and Natalya is laughable. I like when the WWE gives us matches like Orton vs Mcintyre and Henry vs Morrison, but they work better when the other guy has been on TV and winning mid-card matches before facing a superstar. Otherwise it's just 100% obvious who will win vs 98% obvious if the guy is on his own streak.
The vote of confidence thing felt dumb to me because none of the big names were out there. I understand they tried to explain that later but it still just seemed silly to me that they all decided to stay in the back while the mid carders determined the course of the show
Smackdown: I honestly barely remember what happened on this show which is not a good thing. I liked Del Rio dispatching of Sin Cara early to continue his dominance, and I'm not excited about the Big Show stuff only because I feel like they should have built it up more before just giving him a title shot. I mean really, why does he deserve one?
Can we please move Zeke and Jinder to Superstars and NXT permanently please?
Finally this past Monday's Raw was interesting to start because it seemed like there was so much they could do. Once they removed HHH and brought all the stars back into the ring though, guess what? It turned right back to shit. Horrific episode beyond the opening segments. I dig the Christian/mid card heel supergroup though
Rising:
Mason Ryan: He's in line for a big push, not necessarily deserved in my opinion, but it's happening
Swagger: Not a huge fan myself, but he's a decent wrestler. I expect him with the tags or for the Dolph relationship to crumble and for him to get a title shot. Either way, points
Brodus Clay: Getting major promos now, dude is going to be monstrous when he gets back
Negro Sin Cara: Looks like he's here to stay
Falling:
Jinder Mahal: Yikes. Squashed by Santino and Zeke back to back? DROP DROP DROP HIM
Khali: But at least he wasnt written out as another hall of pain victim
Morrison: Seems like he'll be fodder for the Christian/Cody group for a while. But maybe then it'll result in a belt? I have my doubts personally.
