Thoughts on the impact Friday's show has on FUW leagues
GREAT SHOW. Not just because my team scored about 70% of the available points, but I thought they did a good job of developing some stories and creating some new ones. Del Rio and Bryan was a classic, and I absolutely love the job the WWE is doing in creating so many enemies for the WWE Champion (Cena hates him, Mysterio is his old rival, he took the belt off Punk, he's antogonizing Bryan, and now Sin Cara starting beef? So many ways they can go and that's the way a good heel should be, making enemies everywhere he goes)
I personally liked the acknowledgement of Legacy with Rhodes and Ted confronting Orton. I dont think it's time to actually expound on that as far as story is concerned, but I appreciate laying the groundwork for a potential feud there.
Really curious where they go with Sin Cara and Sheamus at this point. Sheamus and Henry have unfinished business but now Henry is going against Orton so what will Sheamus do? Barrett because of the battle royal? But then what will Daniel Bryan do? Again, I love all the possibilites and the fact that it's not 100% predictable right now
Rising:
1. Mark Henry - I know this is obvious, but I had my doubts they were going to go right into this even if it was semi predictable only because I thought for sure we'd be seeing Sheamus/Henry for the next few months
2. Sin Cara - The crowd absolutely eats him up. I dont know how to tell if it's the original Sin Cara or the replacement though. He's still sloppy regardless, but the WWE clearly realizes that he's WAY OVER with the crowd (and I'm sure the merch sales are helping them see that), and only Sin Cara himself (themselves?) can F this up.
3. Justin Gabriel - Piped in crowd noise! "HEY LITTLE JIMMY, PEOPLE ARE CHEERING FOR HIM, YOU SHOULD TOO!" This is what they tried to do for Ezekial Jackson for a while, but what Gabriel has going for him is at least ONE cool move while Zeke has exactly negative 14 cool moves.
Falling:
1. Ezekial Jackson - I'm just gonna keep him here as the honorary #1 falling superstar on smackdown all season. He's deserved it. Why did they give him that Battle Royal elimination over Rhodes though. PLEASE TELL ME THEY'RE NOT CONSIDERING CONTINUING THAT PROGRAM. THE 10 FANS WHO CHEER FOR ZEKE WEEKLY ARE ONLY DOING IT BECAUSE THEY FEEL BAD. STOP TRYING TO APPEAL TO THEM.
2. Sheamus - Only because I'm confused where they go with him the next couple months and I think he deserves to be in the mix for the title. Ah, lightbulb moment. I've been forgetting about Christian all this time. Henry vs Orton and Christian vs Sheamus, Wade continues his feud with Bryan, then you occasionally mix the 6 of them up in 4 and 6 man tags and triple threats and the elimination chamber with some Sin Cara thrown in on (preferably pre-taped) occasions, and you have yourself a show ladies and gentleman.
NO BUT SERIOUSLY LETS START CHANTING FCW WHENEVER ZEKE COMES OUT.
