Thoughts on the impact Friday's show has on FUW leagues
Good show, lots of interesting matchups between key players, and obviously the return of Sheamus!
Christian and Mark Henry continued their impressive point runs, Dibiase continued his impressive lack of points.
Rising
1. Sheamus - After a 3 (?) week absence, Sheamus came back with a bang and inserted himself right back into the World Championship picture by DESTROYING Orton and Christian and also being announced as a participant in the SD Money in the Bank match.
2. Cody Rhodes - He's been a decent point getter lately but not quite up to the potential this gimmick and his in-ring talents should have awarded him. I believe the win over Zeke will change all that as it should set up his winning the IC Title soon enough
Falling:
1. Wade Barrett - I've been bringing him up here since he lost the IC, if not sooner, but wow, a clean pinfall loss to Kane? That's a new low. Then I read today he's lost 12 matches in a row? Holy crap. As much as I'd like to see Sheamus win the MITB match, no one needs it more than Wade.
2. Ezekial Jackson - No one cares. The WWE tried but the crowd's not buying it. I expect Cody to win the IC sometime in the next few months and push Zeke deservedly to lower-card status, maybe even Superstars. Good guy gimmicks of "I'm a nice guy that can bodyslam people" don't cut it in 2011.
3. AJ Lee/Tamina - Well that didn't last long. After two weeks of it looking like the WWE was going to really try to push these two as the next star Divas on Smackdown, they've been missing in action from the last two shows.
