Thoughts on the impact Friday's show has on FUW leagues
Solid show highlighted by the massively entertaining Orton/Christian/Sheamus interactions. Orton vs Sheamus No DQ was excellent
Rising:
1. Jinder Mahal - So it seems like they're going to play up to Mahal's strengths, while realizing Khali's weaknesses in the ring. I love it. So Mahal will get the wins in the ring while Khali stands outside and intimidates and interferes (and comes in to attack afterwards) Who knows how long they'll have him squash the lower tier until putting him in a legit feud, but he should be worth 5 points a show for a while. Then when the promos start?
2. AJ Lee/Tamina - AJ Lee all the sudden has her own entrance music and manager (and Kaitlyn was nowhere to be found), and Tamina and Rosa are definitely taking over for Laycool as AJ put it. This could just be a 2-3 week program, but I'm gonna say I think the WWE is going to try to have these two be the flagship divas on smackdown for the time being. We'll see.
3. The Usos. I mean they actually were in a match, and they won!??!?!?! Wondering if they're trying to officially split out Wade to fight with Zeke and then maybe Gabriel and Slater as a tag team on their own to fight the likes of the Usos and probably the Nexus eventually?
Falling
1. Ted Dibiase - Two matches, two losses, and a promo where he was completely upstaged by Codys new gimmick. I do think eventually they'll turn this around and maybe even have him turn on Cody to try to get the fans on his side, but until then this is just embarrassing.
2. Khali - Still think he's worth holding, but with Jinder having the main wrestling role, Khali could be limited to just occasional bonus points vs the pin or submission points I was expecting.
3. Sheamus - This is for lack of other options (I'm tired of putting the Corre every week, though they deserve it). My issue with Sheamus is I dont see when (if?) they're going to give him the Title again. Christian beats Orton, Orton gets his rematch. Will they do Christian vs Sheamus even though they're both heels now? I dont see it. Then again there are no really big faces on Smackdown right now period. Who's the 2nd biggest face on smackdown right now, Sin Cara? Crazy
